Stop Consuming and Start Generating

Reading books and watching youtube videos and attending seminars is all well and good. Until it becomes a block.

If you are choosing to spend your time referring to Influencers in the field of Business and Mindset, that’s healthy and wise. But if you are deferring to these influencers to the detriment of your productivity, then that is a problem.

“Is it still procrastination if I’m studying the giants in my field?”

YES

If this resonates with you, then listen up. If you are waiting to feel “good enough” you might be waiting forever. Don’t let dreaded impostor syndrome stop you. You won’t grow in confidence until you execute.

Your unique gifts are meant to be shared. Like, now.

One of the things that paralyzes me the most is that I just want to know everything and take in a lot of information and education. But I block myself because I become so saturated with information that I get “guru overwhelm” and I feel like I have nothing to contribute. What do I have to bring to the table?

I have identified this tendency in myself and so many others. So how can you go from paralysis to generating awesome content?

A great catalyst for you to generate content is to have a conversation.

What do I mean by that? You can get in the zone by having conversations. I talk with my copywriter, my team, I talk with other entrepreneurs, I talk with trusted friends. It’s amazing how much content you can spark by doing this. Record the conversation, that is what I do and it’s awesome because you can let the ideas flow and then refer back to your recording when you are ready to create.

You can mine those conversations for content and insight. You can repurpose your content in various ways as well. It is a wonderfully useful tool.

Stop that cycle of self-doubt and consuming information. Instead, get busy generating ideas and watch them take shape.

We think we have nothing to say, but talking with a friend can get those ideas flowing. So record them or grab a notebook to jot down the main ideas. Let the gurus do their thing. You do your thing!

Now, get out of your own way and get that content rolling.
